2cupsfresh strawberrieshulled and chopped small (about 1 pint)
1mediumjalapeñochopped small
1serrano chilechopped small (optional; add this if you like it spicy)
¼ to ½smallred onionchopped small
2Tbspfresh lemon juiceabout 1/2 a large lemon
¼tspchili powder
Tortilla chipsfor serving
Instructions
Mix all ingredients together in a non-metal bowl.
Move about 2/3 of the mixture to a food processor, blender, or separate bowl with immersion blender. Pulse just a few times - we are not going for a puree, just a very fine chop.
Mix the saucy blend back into the chopped ingredients and stir well. Chill until serving time.
